    2008 SANTE 230 Value?

I am just begining this search and would like some wisdom on the value of a 2008 SANTE 230 with 550 hours. Also when searching NADA should you add options that are standard equipment such as the tower? All help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Kinda like asking what's an 08 Chevy truck worth? Depends on a lot things.... Engine? How clean is it? Salt use? Color? Trailer? And the list goes on but ultimately it's what someone will pay for it. I suspect a middle of the road boat and trailer with those hours mid 40s but again that a lot of assuming!

Completely agree with the above. you can use NADA to start with, much like cars, but if the actual condition doesn't reflect the value it is what it is. You might be able to scan a website like onlyinboards.com and see what they are "going for." Perfect boat, nice trailer, but hot pink metal flake??? probably not too popular on the resale.

Another issue would be location, although it shouldn't matter, a boat located in Florida (year round use pretty much) may have one value, where as a boat in Minnesota might have another in say November when the owner is looking at 7 more months of payments, insurance, storage and 0 use, or July when they are on it everyday and nor really looking to sell.

Yeah depends a lot on condition and color. Also what tower even. But a decently taken care of boat, one that appears to have been whipped down and not left outside its whole life should bring $45min and push $50k. Likely no more than that. It better have the 409 in it also. Otherwise knock 3-5k off.

Agree with almost all of the above, except the comment about the 409. Depends on what you want to use the boat for. We have the 330 Excalibur in our 226 (similar hull) and does just fine and a tank lasts a weekend. The wake on the 226 and 230 is picky. Dont necessarily need a lot of weight. We run stock ballast and a couple of fat bricks to move around tune the wake. 100% agree on maintenance and use. A boat used in fresh water, wiped down, stored in doors, etc will hold its value. 550 hours not high but want to make sure regular fluid changes.

You don't "need" the 409 but the value of the boat will be more if its a 409. You can do about anything with the 343 w the right prop. We had a zr6 226 and it didn't matter how many people or ballast you added. Last two boats have had 343 and does all we need. Only time we struggle is when we are loaded w water and people we have to move people to the bow to get on plane. 409 or ZR6 is a plus in my book.

Thanks for the responses. They are much appreciated. The boat will be used mostly to surf and just spend time on.
What confused me with NADA was the fact that so much on the option list was standard with a team edition and was told by somebody that you still had to add them to get a value. I do understand the immense value of how well a boat is maintained and where it is kept.
