Heater on 2003 SANTE

Does anybody know if a 3-vent heater will fit in a 2003 SANTE?

I also need a little installation tip on connecting the heater to an Excalibur engine with a closed cooling system. I have installed a heater before on a GT40, but never on a closed cooling.

Where will you route the third vent? I have 2 in my 210. One is fixed and heats the driver area. The other is a pullout tube which can warm 2 or 3 people in the drivers area if they use a blanket and put the tube under the blanket. BKH

I have a three vent in my 210. One is the defroster, and I have two pull-out tubes mounted in the driver's kick panel. The heater unit itself is mounted just behind the kick panel.

Hey NautiqueJeff, do you actually have the 3H model in your boat, or is it the 2H with a "Y" splitting off and feeding the defroster? Obviously the 2H fits because that's the factory setup, but I'm kicking around installing the 3H core in my boat, if it'd fit. It's a little tight behind the kick panel, especially if I want to stick a sub in there down the road.

I assumed Coyote was asking whether the larger, 3 outlet 3H would fit back there or not.

I put a 3h in my 97 super sport last winter. Not sure how similar they are but here are some pics. I have since replaces the vents by the drivers feet with pull out tubes so all three are pull outs. The one under the passanger is nice but you can't put anything directly under the seat. I put the unit under the walk through. Not sure if that is there on the 2003 Sante. I don't have any pics of the mounting. Boat is in storage for another couple of weeks.

The walk thru is not there on the SANTE or the 210's. You should be able to fit the 3h, but it will be very tight and you will have to rearrange some of the current wiring. You might even have to cut the hump thing a ma jiggy out. Then if you cut that out, you will have to find a new way to mount the kick panel.

For me, the 2h with the y produces plenty of heat, but then again, I live in Texas where we don't use it that much.

Seems a little RTFM on the 2006 PCM Owners manual showed me the heater installation points on an Excalibur engine with closed cooling :grin:

2003s that come installed from the factory have 2 blowers and 3 vents .(One of them is split into a Y for the defroster.)

You could probably make a 3 vent fit, but it will not be very much fun. You will definitely have to re-arrange the wiring and tubes that are currently back there.

If you decide you want to remove the hump and remount the kickboard, you should check out the pictures on Grant's website. He's done that to make room for stereo gear.
