Has anyone else taken delivery of a 2016 G23? We picked ours up a few days ago. I am having trouble getting the surf wave setup with decent length. The wave is big, but it rolls over too soon. My previous G I added close to 2000lbs of extra ballast for a great surf wave. I wonder if I will need to do the same on the 2016.

It's not that the G23 has a bad surf wave, its just that it can be made better with more weight. If you buy a new Corvette and want to put a supercharger on it, does it mean that it wasn't fast enough from the factory?? Why do we add more weight on a G, or power to a car, BECAUSE WE CAN. lol2021 G23 450 - Current

I have seen some video of a member on here with a 2016 G23 with ballast half full and pushing out a very respectable wave.
I'd say start with the factory settings then make minor adjustments and observe. Make sure you're in at least 12 feet of water when doing this. The 2016 G23 is the real deal.2015 G23 550

Is the factory preset still at 10.9MPH? I found 11.5 to be substantially better. The new hull shape is not supposed to affect the surf wave.
If you have a chance to take a picture of the ballast pumps, I would appreciate it much. They are supposed to somehow be new and improved, but I want to know how or why.
My stock wave is very respectable. I am all about adding extra ballast, and frankly, I have not felt the need to do so.

Usually when I experience a big but short wave I add weight to the front, speed up a bit or dump weight from the rear. In my 2013 210, I have to put less rear weight especially at a full tank of fuel. I find the boat surfs the best at 40-75% fuel.

Thanks. I thought it was supposed to knock down the spray without changing the wave. Seems dangerous to me to mess with what I beleive to be the best stock wave in the business. I hope to get a ride in the next month or so. Thanks for the clarification.

Often, they will just rebadge the same old 18220-1127 pump for different manufacturers. That way they can up the price and the dealer can offer a secondary markup as well. At least I know they did that with MC a few years ago.
http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?...4232&id=839452 Same 11 GPM here.
Increasing the outlet size is not really going to make a lot of difference if that is what they have done here. The current outlet size is more than enough to handle 11 GPM.
