This was tons of fun last year, so I thought I would bump it. Great weekend. My son couldn't wait to get out there. He tried a 360. Epic fail, but fun to see him getting into it.

Old thread, but I'm adding to it from this past weekend. My 8 year old daughter had her very first wakeboard ride. It was a good 30 second pull with a slow, easy fall at the end. Not sure if she is addicted yet. Hopefully! We figured out a way to surf behind our ski tow (Nautique 200). This is my son Jack on our new foil board this Summer. He can surf the second wake, too! I've mastered getting up, but I'm still working on staying up.

even surf the second wClick image for larger version

Good stuff! It's great to see the youngsters getting started. Both of ours got up on skis at 6. The older is now 9 and skis and surfs well and just started wakeboarding. I want to get him slalom skiing this summer. The younger is 7 and is getting the hanging off skiing and can get up surfing, but she hasn't gotten comfortable enough to go ropeless.

We got our new Nautique at the end of March, and my oldest (13) was able to surf without the rope for the first time on day one. I have a video on it, but here's a screenshot of when he dropped the rope and kept going.
