Great job! The video results shows that you nailed this. How much does your a plate slide out and down? Can you please post some more pics of the side of the boat and how you filled the gap from the rounded hull using the shim. How did you make the shim and shape it to match your hull?

Also in the video what was the ballast setup?

    Thanks and congrats

I don't have pictures of the sides at the moment. What I can tell is that it's not "flush" with the hull because the curve of the transom at this place is really intense. There is a 1/4 in gap which doesn't affect water flow when riding with retracted plates.

On the video I was only riding with hard tanks full because it was a test ride to show the system. Later that day I tried with hard tanks + ballasts. It gives me 2200lbs in the back and 1200lbs in front. The wave is huge, I'm 205 and I can run a 4'8" board as far as 20ft behind the boat.

        Max

I have been doing 60 / 40 or 70 / 30 weight in the fat sacs with pretty good results. I have 1100 pounds fat sacs and a piggy back belly fac think its 600 pounds ( I took out the hard tanks in the rear ).

NSS setting with the Lenco switches in the 7th position out of 8.

So basically I have been filling the fat sac completely on the the surf side then the other fat sac around 1/2 to 3/4 full.

Kinda weird some days it looks huge and others looks smaller.

I did it, more like 60-40. very good results and not that long to switch.

For those who wanted to see. Here is the wave with full ballast on port , 3/4 starboard and belly+arrow in the front

Sorry there was some traffic so the other waves hits mine but you can see what it gives

Has anyone built some of these for a 226 yet? I just bought my 04 about a month ago and I am still trying to get my surf wake right and these seem to make a huge differance.

AndrewC made one for a 226. The transom is more curved than a 230, more work is involved.

Pretty sure AndrewC has a 220

The 226 is the same hull as the 230 from what I understand.

236 and 230 share the same hull. Would be surprised about the 226 also....

I also have a 226 (2005). super curious. What's a ballpark cost in putting this together?

Now it's my bad, missed 226 and thought it said 236. Not sure what the hull on the 226 is like but it can't be far off from the 236.

It is just a scarry thought to drill holes in the back of my boat just to experiment with something like this. But it would be a great upgrade.

A bit scary but nothing is "irreversible". You could redo some fiberglass and gelcoat in the happening of a major mistake.
Pretty sure a system like that adapted to a 226 would do a great job.
