    Finally, my custom NSS

So those who followed my previous post, I finally installed my surf system. I have an 09 230 so nothing really "bolt on" for this boat. I didn't want to move the swim platform mount on the transom.
Had the plates laser cut in SS. This is all custom made.
Tried it yesterday and it works wonderful.
I have a ****ty video, will upload later

This is great! What are you using to actuate them from the helm?

Lenco LED keypad. There is a built-in feature that retracts them as soon as they loose ignition.

Nice work!!! I think it looks really cool with the Lencos angled like that.

real nice work. can you switch side to side pretty easily or does it take a well-timed retract/deploy of the two switches?

Here my ****ty video..... At least you can see at what speed it switches.
I just put my finger on Up and Down at the same time, different sides. Nothing really fancy. (SEE POST no10 FOR BETTER QUALITY)

Do you have any pictures of how you mounted the plates to the transom? I just dont like the thought of drilling holes in the boat! I understand you have to but just wanna do it right.

              Thanks

There you go. You have no choice but drilling the hull.
There is also 2 more hole on the bottom hull (not pictured) for which you have no access from the interior. I used 2 "lag screw" to secure my plate to the hull.
These were drilled in place since the position are 100% critical.

Slightly better quality still not the best.

That's awesome work! What did you use for spacers between the top and bottom plates? Also, are you running 2 batteries? I am having problems with my single battery keeping up with the stereo, pumps and Lencos.

                          It slides on weld nuts.
Running on 2 batteries but the lenco doesn't pull much juice. They run for 5 sec and are almost running free.

max 1.6 can you post a pic of "weld nuts" for us? I think I know what you mean. Are you mounting the "weld nuts" in the hull, and the projection or shoulder is long enough for the "projection" plate to slide on? Bolts are 1/4"?
                            Great work by the way!

This is what I used. Not thru hull, only thru my 1st plate. Between the hull and 1st plate there is a plastic shim (not pictured) for 2 reasons: protect the hull from the stainless and gives room for the weld nut flange.

I also added more shims to different places since the hull in 09 is rounded not flat. The plates ended being a bit curved but not as much as the hull.
                              Sliding bolts are indeed 1/4".
The "projection" of the weld nut is long enough to give room for the sliding plate.

PM me if interested, I have few plates left.
