Has anyone bought a Sunstream Sunlift for a G series boat? I need a standalone lift with solar power option. Any suggestions?

Check these guys out. Their design allows the cylinders to be retracted when the lift is up (the majority of the time) so you can avoid build up of zebra muscles, etc on the cylinders. They have plenty of different sizes that could handle a G.

You could also check out these guys. They have a good reputation for being helpful and I know a few people that have these (not for Gs) and are really happy with them.

I have a Sunstream hydraulic lift, rated for 10k pounds. I put my G23 on it, and leave about 3200 pounds of ballast in it, while on the lift. It takes about 50-60 seconds to raise it up. I love it. It's rock solid. If you plan to empty your ballast every time, an 8000 or 6500 pound lift would be sufficient. I opted for the larger lift because I didn't want to have to drain/fill all my extra ballast multiple times a week or even multiple times a day.2018 SAN G23 XR550

I have a sunstream 6500lbs lift. Unless you have to have the larger lifting arms it lifts my G23 just fine. I can actually lift it up with about half ballast and a full tank of gas. But it works for it.1 Photo

You also need to take into consideration the depth the water the lift will be in...I have the Sunstream 6500b lift, and am in 11 feet of water so needed leg extensions which i was told lowers the actual capacity. The dealer where I am told me he wouldn't put a G series boat on anything less than #8000.....he sells/installs 50+ lifts a year in the Okanagan area near Kelowna BC. Extremely happy with my lift vs all the Basta lifts on my dock.

Thanks for all the info. I have looked at the Floe lifts but there is no dealer in South Florida which poses a problem for warranty issues or service. The Sunstream Sunlift 8000# is what I am leaning toward. It sounds like that may be the best option.2021 G23 450 - Current
