    Where to locate second battery?

Okay first let me apologize for possibly posting this in the wrong section or what have you. But I've done some searching on this site and can't find anything. I just bought a 2001 Air Nautique and I want to throw a second battery on it. I noticed the battery is located in the very front of the boat and it didn't seem like there was a ton of room there for a second battery. So where is everyone putting there second batteries?

I had a '99 Pro Air in which I installed a 2nd battery (this boat is the same layout as yours). I ended up putting the 2nd battery in the storage area under the observer's seat, WAY forward, basically under the seat back for the bow seats. It worked, BUT it was a PITA to get the battery out as I installed a full box. If I had to do it again, I would use a tray under the battery and then cover the battery terminals to make sure you don't short it when you are putting stuff in there. Another option may be under one of the bow seats, I didn't want to do that as these boats have very little storage to begin...

I was thinking that's about the only place to put another battery as well the only concern I had was how much extra battery cable I would now have to run. Was that an issue?
