It'd be a neat question to ask Bill Yeargin about, now that CC owns PCM and Crusader, perhaps Jeff's interview this fall could consist primarily of Nautique owner generated questions and issues.

A question like this would need to be given to him well in advance so CEOs of PCM, Crusader, Supreme, Centurion and Nautique senior leadership have an opportunity to develop a response on the feasibility of a diesel in a wakeboat. Not a question that's easily answered from their perspective.

I would think with the size of some of these tanks if the boats were offered and purchased the marinas would start to offer diesel...supply and demand.

i think having diesel mechanics within the dealer network would be a larger obstacle than either the price of a diesel upgrade or the availability of diesel on the water. good diesel mechanics are hard to find and expensive if you even are able to find them.

Jeff.....Is this interview that Ryan is talking about an annual occurrence? I have some questions I'd love you to ask on my behalf and the members of PN. Maybe you could start a new thread for this to prepare for the meeting? Our thoughts, questions and input can only help Nautique continue to innovate.

That's certainly something that I could bring up in the next interview. We do those interviews in conjunction with certain major announcements from Nautique, but I am sure if we have enough questions, we could set one up anytime.

Diesel is the way to go due to lower consumption, higher reliability, higher torque...
Here in Europe we have plenty of experience with diesel engines. There are a bit expensive than gas ones if we compare the same size. However, I am sure a 3.0L diesel engine could do the job both for surf and wake with the right transmission. So buying cost should not be the issue.
Regarding maintenance the main difference is the fuel ignition system and the learning curve is mellow.
