Has anyone had the pleasure of removing Seadek? I cannot imagine it would be fun. I have 2 "bubbles" in mine on the walkthru over the engine hatch. Not easy to see in the pic but noticeable enough in real life. The dealership warranted out a new piece to me, but they want 2 hrs labor to replace it. I was also told to try popping the bubbles with a needle to release the air or moisture that is trapped in there. If that does not do the trick I am sure I will eventually stick this new piece on but wanted to know if anyone has removed old Seadek with success? Razor blade? Mineral Spirits? Pair of pliers and a blowtorch?

Done it. Super fun, get a plastic scraper and leave it in the sun for awhile before trying to peel it off, it helps. Also, go to seadek's website, they have instructional videos for removal and installation.

I just installed Seadek in my SV211. Despite being very careful while installing, I noticed a bubble on one of the swim platform pads. I poked a small hole there with a push pin and was able to remove the bubble. It would be the easiest thing to try, and if it doesn't work, then you can go to the trouble of trying to remove the pad.

Like someone else said, I would try injecting some adhesive with a needle and syringe before I went to the trouble of replacing it.2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200
