More like an all winter project but here goes. 81 Anniversary edition Nautique, Repaired a few minor floor problems, new carpeting, new interior including all new wood seat frames and bases, removed all graphics, wet sanded entire boat up to 1500 , buffed entire boat, goes out for new painted stripes saturday. added sea strainer, replaced riser gaskets, installed depth finder, tune up,new fuel hose all the way back. Replaced points with electronic ignition and replaced wheel bearings on the trailer. photos coming. I gotta finish it soon it's getting nice out real fast.

Do you have the Ford or Chevy engine? I think I've asked you before, and I think you said Ford, but I can't remember.

jonb...what technique did you use for mounting the amps to the wall?

            mfloski,

I have looked at every single amp mounting post to figure out the best way... but it really comes down to the area you are working on.

I was going to use the metal strips like grant does on his installs, but there were big 1.5" tall about 18" up the side humps of fiberglass from where the factory mounted the amps.

I decided to make a board that would fit my amps and fit in the space and then at the bottom...i glued and screwed 2 L brackets that stuck out about .5" from the bottom of the board and they lay flush with the floor. At the top i just bolted a metal mouting strap to the board and other side to the tower. They dont move at all... but if my side wall was flat i would have definitly used the metal strap method.

hey jedgell, I built that EZ course, no problem. If you have the backyard room to measure out the mainline....
Even with the 55's, shouldn't cost you much over $325-350. Hunt around a bit for the PVC, I found that prices fluctuated, and big differences between wholesalers and big-box stores such as Lowe's. I ended up getting mine from a contractor distributor, and they still cut me a deal just over contractor prices, even though I am not a plumber/contractor. You might look into something other than poly mainline, just to decrease the stretch factor??? Let me know if you have any Q's.

This weekend I am building my custom ballast system in. I got the new fly high v drive sacs and a locker sac.
Jabsco ballast puppy's and a second batery to install. Will take a lot of pictures and post them somewhere next week.

i've got to repair some chips & do some paint touch up work on our '78 Ski (thanks to inconsiderate friends "tossing" their wakeboard into the boat after a run last summer instead of handing it to me), and maybe buy a new set of mufflers because of what sounded like a leaking starboard muffler after reglassing them last winter (evidently the 28 yr old mufflers can only be fixed to a certain point!) , finish cleaning & reassemble a customer's '88 Mastercraft we're restoring for him, and hopefully finish my Cedar Strip Kayak end of winter/beginning of spring project sometime in the next month & 1/2.... fun fun...!!
