I need to get a new lift in the spring. I have ShoreStation and Floe in the area. Recommendations on lift brand, weight capacity if the 230 is 4700 lbs dry and type (hydraulic vs electric)??

I have a 6000 pound harbor master with a 24v DC lift tech motor and solar charger. It has worked great. 1 cable, pretty easy to maintain. Hydraulics seem nice, but they seem to have more failures than the cable lifts. They also typical need deeper water.

FLOE!!!!! Floe, Floe, Flow, FLOE!!!! It is the best. 5000 lb isnt big enough once you have the boat filled with gas and loaded up. They have a 6000lb lift, but for $1000 more you can get the 8000lb lift. So my very strong suggestions is the VSD-8000. Hope this helps!2016 G21 SupeAir.

If price is no object the Floe with 24V screw drive is a very nice unit, goes up/dn very quickly and they are also very quite. The screw drive adjustable legs is a great feature. Around here (up near the chain/fox lake) that lift will run you 11-12k with full canopy.
Shorestation is a very good quality lift, well built, dependable and reasonably priced. Vertical with a wheel will be least expensive, hydraulic will be much faster and quieter. If you go SS and opt for the wheel with motor get the electric motor which spins the wheel not replaces it, can explain if you are heading in that direction.
Have always owned Shorestations and been very happy with them, my neighbor who shares my dock just bought a brand new Floe for his 210, super nice unit. We will see how easy it is to take out in a few months, the SS's are easier then most to take in/out.

Some pics of my dock, can see my Shorestations vs his Floe side by side. He keeps his tower up always hence the high canopy w/extended side skirts, on my lift with the 206 have the height set to work tower up or tower down.
Take all my stuff in/out myself so ease of movement is important, the SS's are much easier to move then most other brands, I have the axle kits which we will be adding to his Floe, have a feeling the Floe will move similar to the Shorestations.

I agree with most of the above comments - all good lifts.
I just bought a new lift this spring for my 2015 SAN 210, did a lot of looking and ended up preferring the Craftlander 6000. I had a Shore Station and had originally planned on getting another but ended up preferring the Craftlander.
- Harbor Master: Simplest design, really very good and would have bought this but, for my location, I wanted a lift that went straight up and down.
- Floe: The screw drive looks great but I couldn't justify the extra money. Paying a big premium for that.
- Shore Station: After talking to a number people and doing some online research, the Craftlander seemed a better choice for me.
- Craftlander: I purchased the 120", 6000 lb with 24volt motor, solar charging, 26' Tower Canopy w/ Zippers for the back section. Craftlander is amongst the best for shallow water use - important for me since my lake level can change by 2' or more during the season. With the tower canopy, if I leave my tower up, a lot of the boat is covered, if I fold my tower down, the boat virtually disappears. The lift is rated for 6,000 lbs, if you go to their website, you'll see that it can comfortably lift much more (though not recommended). After deciding to get the Craftlander, I shopped around and found a very good deal.
In the attached picture, that's my SAN 210 tucked up under the canopy next to my jet ski's.1 PhotoPreviously: 2015 SAN 210

I always get good ol' shoremaster. I have a cantilever 5000lb capacity for my 3900 dry weight 210. Cantilever are slow, but easy to maintain with one cable. One time we forgot to empty the tanks with bags in the back and belly full. No problems.

You will probably find the floe is twice as much as the shore station. The Floe is a really good lift but I feel they are overpriced. I went with a 6000lb shore station for my G23 and I have had no issues with the lift, very well built. I had a shore master before and did not like it.

I called shore station and they told me I would have no issues. They use the same cables on the 6000 as the 7000. I did not get a canopy because I find where we live they are just a spider trap. The insects like to hide in the darkness of the canopy.

We are on Wawasee and have a Sunstream hydraulic lift for our tritoon from Rookstools. I love it. Has a canopy that is big and the lift moves fast. Our tritoon is about the same weight of your 230. We also have a shore Station galvanized cantilever lift that is old but works great for our 95 Sport Nautique. If you want a great pier shop, go visit with Rookstool. Congrats on the new 230. Did you get it from Wawasee Boat Company? Andy and Dave are great salesman

Hi wawasee, Yep, ordered it through Andy. Great experience!!, if you can spending this kind of money on a boat and not use till spring! Were over on Tippy. I had a Shore Station cantilever when i had a 212 Bryant, worked fine, but lots of effort to to crank up, (had a 300HP big block in it) and that was when i was young! I'm leaning towards the hydraulic (6k) Shore Station. I like the low profile canopy frame that will help with getting in and out as the lake level changes... My neighbor has a Floe and the canopy frame comes down low and we have to lower the tower on his Supra to get in and out when the water rises..or raise the canopy crazy high...
Its going to be a LONG winter!...waiting...

I'm on Wawasee also! Tomorrow we are going to see Andy and Dave to finalize things with our G21 order. We also just upgraded to a Floe 8000 with Davidsen's pier shop. Have to wait until spring to see either one. It's going to be one long winter!2016 G21 SupeAir.
