The days of throwing a pump over the side are done!

Our family is so excited to make the switch. The Malibu is gone and I can't believe we have a G23. Can't wait to get it on the water this weekend!

Congrats on the new boat. I also had a Malibu in the past and you'll love it in so many ways.

Congrats on the G. But I hate to tell you I still throw a pump over the side on mine, occasionally.

^^^* needs to plumb his 1100s in the trunks off the OEM pumps, and a couple hundred pounds of lead in the bow.

Gorgeous colors! Welcome to the ex-Malibu owners corner, you're gonna love the G !

Why? Before I ordered my G21 last week, I demo-surfed behind one and it was fantastic. No need for sacs at all. And I'm a bug guy (6'4 210 lbs) that uses a small board (for 150 lb surfers)

I've been used to surfing behind my 220 SANTE with the port side full, belly half and 2 of the largest Fat Sacs (1 in the rear left locker and 1 under the left side rear seats) The boat leans so much its unsafe, but it would throw a massive wake. The G21 was even better.

Because he can. These things throw massive waves and wakes with just stock, but once you start loading it up with extra weight it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. Congrats!

I doubt that was his point, but ok.

Like NYRyan said plumbing in with a valve is the trick. We currently throw a pump over the side but it's pretty simple with a valve and use the water puppy. Winter project for me. Why???? You'll see!! We don't even have a g and we add water to our 230 and the wave is crazy fun!!

Congratulations on your new ride she's sweet looking!

Besides making the wake/wave bigger and better, is there another reason that people add extra ballast?

I don't add extra ballast...but I was surfing with 10 people on board the last 2 times I went.

Even without extra ballast, the wave is terrific. But it only gets better with more people and ballast.

I only add it when there are two or three of us on the boat.

So we got out in the boat this weekend. Wow what a boat! Feels so good to hit a few buttons, ride and switch sides instantly. A couple questions? What are the ideal settings for the surf wake. It was very windy and had to surf with the wind to avoid drenching passengers when going into the wind. Is it only that way when it's windy? Didn't seem to have that problem when we test drove one in the spring.
