I have a couple of questions regarding the new G for those who have been in one. Does the new hull change make a dramatic difference in anything or is it more of a minor change? Also, how does the new stereo sound?

I took a quick ride in the 2016 at the release event in Austin. The biggest difference I noted in that short ride was how much drier the ride was. The new stereo sounds pretty incredible, especially compared to the 2015 system. I am no audiophile, and I am sure there are aftermarket systems that are better, but for a stock system with a 5 year warranty I was very impressed.

I just visited my dealer to check them out and I will say this....I had every intention of ordering the boat with the studio elite package and NO tower speakers. NOW...I think I'm going to order it with at least one set of the JL 8.8's. They sounded very LOUD and were very clear. Now I don't know how they sound at 70-80' back...but just the single pair I heard along with the studio elite sounded fantastic! And the 2 subs really pound! And it is ALL covered under the 5 year warranty! Sold!
Now as far as the hull goes...I should find that out this coming weekend. But I did talk to a few local riders, some of which were sponsored riders, and they all said that the wakeboard wake was every bit as good if not better than the 2015 models, and the surf wave was much better even tho the '15 models were just fine! I won't get to hit the wakeboard wake due to a torn miniscus, but hopefully, I will get to try out the surf wave.

Much cheaper to buy the 880s seperatly. I was going to order tower speakers with the boat until I found out I could save about $1500.00 buying them seperate, with the Nautique specific mounts, and installing myself. I went with 2 880s and 2 770s. I had 4 880s on my last boat, and they projected to wakeboard lengths with ease. They were overkill.

Well that's the ONLY thing that concerns me....we never really VISUALLY found it...but I'm 90% sure it's located in the helm. Not sure exactly where the access to it is. Although we didn't dig too hard trying to find it. But it does sound REALLY good!

Only problem then is that they aren't covered under the 5 year warranty! That was one of the sale points for me. Otherwise, I would go with no speakers or prep kit, save myself over $3k, and put that in a Wetsounds set up. I'll prob only last a year or so tho before I go to Wetsounds anyways tho.

You might not go wetsounds, if you ordered 4 880s. The M880s sound cleaner than rev10s, and project out to wakeboard length with ease. Yes, you can make the rev10s louder at extreme distances...... But I am just looking to jam while I wakeboard. I'm not looking to piss off all of my neighbors on the lake.

Elite stereo is amazing! But a very pricey upgrade.

The Series studio Elite prep kit with the 8 channel amp is listed as $1898 MSRP from my dealer. The amp from Crutchfield can be bought for $657. The wiring is worth something, and that is an MSRP price, but it still is not exactly what would make me say 'didn't cost much more'.
The 4 channel prep kit is $1199 MSRP.
Wayward, I would double check which prep kit you were quoted, and double check which amp you need to get the power you want.

What was actually ordered, was the "Studio Elite Prep Kit", which looks like it cost me about $1300.00. Had I not fat fingered the price list when comparing, I probably would have installed it after. I should have double checked the pricing.
The speaker difference was $3300 with the boat, or $1600 ordering them separate. Glad I went with that. I can install the tower speakers in only 30-40 minutes. The Amp and wiring is a different story.
