It's great to be back in the family!

I've had a few Nautiques in the past, including a 211, a 210, a 196 and a SN200. Then for some reason, two years ago I went with a Malibu (Wakesetter VLX 2013). I really liked the Bu, it did everything for us, but somehow I just missed Nautiques.

Earlier this summer, I decided to get a "companion" boat primarily to get back into slalom, and I found this amazing deal on a 1999 Ski Nautique GT40 with very low hours. It was garage kept all it's life and it essentially looked brand new.

That experience made my longing for a Nautique even greater. Eventually I surrendered and traded the Bu in for a new 2015 G23. Oh man, I gotta tell you, the fit and finish on the G23 is in another class, and the wake is from another planet!

So here it is, I'm just really glad to be back with Nautique again. Pics anyone?

What a great story. I like your style. Beautiful boats on a beautiful lake. You will never regret owning the best! I just ordered a 2016 SAN 230. Cant wait. I find myself reading this site often because i am excited to get my boat. Enjoy and thanks for the pics.

Congratulations - weirdly we followed almost identical paths. I had an early-2000s Nautique, got the bug for a new boat in 2013 and bought a 23LSV. I just never clicked with the Malibu - it all worked, but somehow felt less than the sum of its parts. About 2 months ago our local dealer called with a screaming deal on his last 2015 230, and impulsively I bought it. All the Nautique goodness came flooding back, and we could not be happier.

Hey Jeff, thanks for helping me feel "normal' again. You know, it ain't easy when your friends refer to your dock as "the marina" or to your boats as "the flotilla"!

And congratulations for your 196. Looks like a really nice clean boat. How was the condition and how many hours did it have when you bought it?

Mine's a bit of a project. It has TONS of hours on it, needs a new interior (on order from Christine'sMarine.com), has a few little stress cracks in the gel, etc. The price was right though, and I wanted a winter project.
