Hydrogate on 2001 SAN

Would I be gaining much if I added the hydrogate to my 2001 SAN if it is possible? More concerned with rigging my own surfing plates for next year but didn't know if the hydrogate would be worth the cost at all. Any thoughts would be great.

Does your hull have the hook/lip at the stern in the center/keel? Someone with an 06' 210 could give you the best feedback, do they typically have their gate up? Do they ever have the gate down for anything other then slalom skiing.
If all you do is wake sports I would imagine you would never really need the Gate Down/Slalom mode, so simply grinding out the hook/lip would be all you need to do, no sense in adding the gate itself.

Thanks Quinner. We just wakeboard and surf. Kids occasional tube but I didn't know if the hydrogate cleaned the wake at all also. But if mostly for skiing then I will not need to do anymore research.

The 06 210 did not come with hydrogate.
