Directional Orientation in LINC Maps

Found another thing I really like about the 2016 LINC 3 system.

The Maps orientation in LINC 1 and LINC 2 was always North-up. I hated that.

They finally offer the option in LINC 3 for what they refer to as Course-up orientation. This rotates the map to the direction that you're moving, like any other modern GPS system. I have been waiting for this!

Dang. This alone is enough for me to upgrade. My brain doesn't work with the linc2.

Dose any one know if this can be added to the new linc system after the fact?

The maps? Yes, that can be added. I think you just need to obtain the map card and insert it into the back of the LINC system.

So i found out to add GPS to the new Panoray its a Map Dongle that costs $895.00 . I fell out of my chair when i heard that. Funny thing is that on the option list presented to me by my dealer there was no price next to it and when i asked i was told its standard. Not sure if that was the case to others. Any way Can't believe how much it cost.

If anyone can find out if the maps are from Garmin or something else , would be nice to know if i can by a Map and put it on a stick and plug it in.

That price does not seem right. The whole map option on my 2017 G23 was only $195.00 which is a far cry from $895 you were quoted. The map brand is Navionics

I dont know if I have a Linc3 or not but I don have the new larger Panoray screen on the Linc system

Yes , Panoray is the Linc 3 system. The Panoray was new this year on the 230 ,210 and all the other boats. That price i got was from Nautique parts and they got that price from the Factory.

Maybe call Navionics directly and the price would be closer to my $195.00 installed. $195 to a $895 swing ; something just does not seem correct

I did that . They checked compatibility and could not find a listing. Then was told its not something that is sold to Nautique . I think i might just contact Nautique my self.

I like the Navionics App.....its like $10 a year and gives you same info!!!!
