    G21 vs. G23

So I currently own a G21 but have an opportunity through some creative means to keep my G21 but be a part owner of a G23 with a group at Lake Powell. I LOVE my G21, but my question is how much more will I like the G23? I love some the changes to the newer models and I would love more room...BUT is the wake any different for wake boarding and surfing? Is there a big difference?

Can't speak to the surfing wake, but IMHO there's a meaningful difference in the wakeboarding wake. The G21 has a bit shorter transition and is steeper...more similar to the old 210 hull but taken to the next level in terms of size (...and not quite as steep). Some like a steep wake like that, others feel it's too easy to get bucked out of position. I'm generally a fan of steep wakes, but I went with the 23 mainly because I ended up liking the 23 wake a bit more...I found it to be easier to ride--just more forgiving without sacrificing much. It was a better match for the way I ride these days and also for my family. Having said that, I've ridden my buddy's 21 quite a bit this year. It's a lot of fun and has more kick off the wake...I just have to be on my game more than with the 23.

Bottom line: the wakes are different primarily in terms of steepness. I'd be very happy with either one.
