Nautique Used Boat Inspection - South Florida

I'm looking for an inspection to be done on a used 2005 Air Nautique that I'm considering buying in Miami.

Does anyone know of a mechanic that knows Nautiques that can do a pre-purchase inspection?

Right on. We are practically neighbors. How is that lake for riding? You guys do any surfing? Good luck with the purchase.

It's good. Has enough length and width to be able to circle the perimeter, by the time you come around the other side, the created wake is just about gone. Get's a little crowded sometimes because of the Holiday Lakes neighborhood park is on the beach and it seems like just about anyone can use the ramp. When it gets crowded or some joker shows up with their 32' Checkmate, we head straight to the dock and call it a day. That's the beauty of living on a lake....

I haven't tried surfing yet. I'm not a serious wakeboarder or skier. 70% of the time, we are towing the kids around on a tube. Frankly, a typical runabout with an I/O would serve us well, but after having an inboard Ski Boat for the past 12 years, I don't think I could settle for anything less. I've got a 1988 MasterCraft TriStar that I'm getting rid of for this boat (if it works out).

Want to keep our back yard the destination for my teenage girls and their friends. Easier to keep an eye out for them in my backyard vs someone else's.

I would like to try wake surfing. I did a little surfing as a teenager and got good at it.

You are right on the money there. Our daughter is in college now, but during those high school years it was nice having her and her friends on the lake where we could keep an eye on them. Plus I taught her how to drive the boat so that worked out for me.

Let me know if you want to come do some surfing. That is about 80% of what we do anymore. If you do get the new boat I have some fat sacs you can play around with to see how to set it up for surfing.

"circle the perimeter"... Have you ever tried just going straight down then coming right back in your same path? I makes for less rough water for you and others too

Yes Shag, that's usually what we do when we are alone on the lake. However, when we aren't, it's a little harder to get away with it.
