Shout Out to Brent at Coversports

Finally got the cover on and was able to snap some pics. Fits like a glove. Took a little longer than expected, but well worth the wait. The attention to detail on these covers leaves anything else in the dust. The new metal side buckles are a nice touch. Takes a little while to get everything dialed in correctly , but once it is.......,its on and off easier than any cover I have owned. Satisfied customer for sure.

Looks great! Why do their covers not come down further on the transom? Are all Nautique covers like this. Would it be a bad idea to get a custom cover to go all the way back and cover the swim platform as well? Is the Coversports cover better than a sunbrella material cover from nautiqueparts.com?

The open transom is there in order for the cover to function properly. You have to pull those 4 straps on the transom to tighten up the cover. This is a custom cover made of sunbrella. It requires no poles or supports. It fits like a rubber glove ......meaning the the fabric is pulled completely tight. It's designed for towing. No fabric to flap around. You can get a transom/platform cover piece as an option added to the cover.

Having owned the exact fit sunbrella cover from Nautique Parts for my 08 this cover is far superior. It also costs bit more it. If you saw the attention to detail up close it's easy to see why. If you tow or leave it covered consiststantly the ease of this coversports cover makes it worth every penny in my eyes. The one from Nautique parts had so much extra material it was awful. Dealing with poles sucks. My cover is off an on almost daily.

        Better views of the design.

What do the transom straps secure to? And you mentioned there are side buckles -- are those used as a "drawstring" to tighten the cover beneath the rub-rail, or is the a ratchet in the back?

And is the cover advertised to be able to shed rain without pooling, with no poles? Looks pretty flat over the middle of the cockpit. This looks like the cover I need to get.

You back out few of your rubrail screws in order to attach those rear straps. I bought identical screws just 1/2 in longer Then you attached the supplied " tab " with the longer screw. The center strap if you notice in my pics isn't attached. That one goes to the pop up pylon. I just forgot to do it.

Each section that opens up around the tower feet has a nice small metal adjustable buckle to just clip together that zips back into sleeve. Then you have a pull cord at the rear that runs just under the rubrail from corner to corner to pull the cinch around the entire boat tight with a protective sleeve. There is no velcro closures to wear out or get stuck to everything which helps make covering back up much easier. All the closure points are padded zippers. The cover is designed so the water doesn't pool (without poles) That's kinda their trademark if you will. It just runs off. I haven't put that part to the big test yet and probably won't til spring rolls around.

Hey swatguy, did your cover come with 'rail grabs' that apparently help with the rub rail cinch string? I just received my cover and am trying to check out the fit.

Yes it did. There were Velcro sections under the cover where they mount. Took a couple of different tries to get them in the right spots on how close to the cinch they should actually be.
