I chose the 2016 230 over the G21 when on the demo ride on a rough windy day my kids did not want to sit in the bow of the G because of the spray. Kids should fight to be in front! Also the G's drove like a bus. 230 is more like a vette. If surf is your main game go with the G and deal with some spray.

Interesting comment. I would have said "if surfing is your main game, go with the 230"!!!!! Our boat throws a sick wave, as good, if not better than the Gs i've seen. Just my $0.02 (which in Canada is rounded to zero, so really worth nothing!)

I know this thread is about the 2014 G, but keep in mind that the 2016 G23 and G25 have virtually no spray over the bow anymore with the modifications to the hull. Huge difference in this respect between the '16 and earlier.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!
