Hello Everyone, (I hope I am posting to the right category)
I am looking at buying my first Nautique soon! But I have a few question before I drive 4 hours to look at it.
It is a 2002 SAN Team Ed. probably late 2002 since it has the Excalibur engine.
I have read that the late 2002 models had some changes in the ballast system. The boat currently has the 3-tank setup. I will be pulling the tanks and adding bags. Two 800lb sacs in the rear, 580 sac in the center, and 650 sac in the bow. A friend has this exact setup and the wake is amazing. Obviously will have to reprop.
My question is, do the late 2002 models have a fill pump for each tank with individual thru hull intakes? Or do they have one intake for the rear (with 2 pumps) and one intake for the center?
Also, do the late 2002 models have the scoop intakes? I've read that you can trim the scoops off with a Dremel to prevent filling when moving forward?
I know I will have to cut out the center tank and bow cooler. Read the posts on that. Not looking forward to it but has to be done.
Any help is much appreciated!
