    NADA and Engine Hours?

Looking to sell my 2007 SV211 but trying to gauge the low hours on the boat into the price. Boat currently has 183.7 hours. Plugged everything the boat has into NADA but the engine hours were never taken into account for the value. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Low hours dont better the price, but rather its high hours that deduct form it.

And definitions of 'high' and low hours are pretty subjective. Your boat has averaged less than 20 hours per year. That has its own set of wear and tear matters to take care of. I personally would not consider it any better than a boat with 400 hours on it. As boats get greater than 5 years old, my experience has been that the condition is highly variable based on how it was taken care of, and the price will be reflected in that.

MLA couldn't have said it any better. You won't get any more than the going rate yours will just jump tony hectoring because of the lower hours. Nada also leaves a ton of variables out when considering condition, location, and demand of said boat. It's a good start/guideline , but as mentioned. Seeing what's out there comparable to yours and basing your price off that is a way better way to go about it.

The only thing NADA numbers are good for is financing a used boat. Banks will look at them, but in reality NADA numbers are usually way off from what these boats are actually selling for.

Agreed. After going through the process of buying a TSC hulled Ski Nautique recently, I can tell you that the NADA numbers are useless. Not to mention that the price can go from the lowest junker boat with a ton of hours to triple that with few hours and a good interior.

FWIW, anything under 750 hours, I think condition is far more important than engine hours. These boats can usually go 2000 hours before major mechanical reconditioning will be required, so the difference between 200 and 400 hours is negligible, but a clean vs trashed interior can vary the price by 2X.

I'll echo what others have said, check BoatTrader, Craigslist, OnlyInboards, and use that as a starting point for your price.

Actual value can vary greatly between comparable boats. My experience is that nada is usually going to be somewhat low for that era of boats. The only thing I can tell you is that your price will be between 30-40k based on onlyinboards, Craigslist, and eBay

Same boat selling this time of year vs. spring can be very subjective as well. A big swing in price even....
