We want to sell your boat for you...UGGGH!

What is the deal with all of these companies that happily call me asking if they can sell my boat for me? I have a few of them who have called repeatedly even after I told them that I was not interested. Is there really any value in these companies who offer to sell your boat for you? I think if a potential buyer cannot find my boat on Onlyinboards, craigslist, or Boattrader, then I think they are simply not going to be successful. There is also a wildly successful classified ad page in Utah that I have used.

Please discuss if I am missing the boat here (pun intended). I have not listened to them at all, and if they will provide superior marketing, then maybe a few testimonials would be nice to hear.

Not worth it in my opinion. I'd rather consign through my local dealer.

I LOVE messing with them. The ones who won't call from a blocked number, I will call back incessantly. "Yes, I was on the phone with xxxxxxxxx about a 2000 model pirate ship when we got disconnected (from them having hung up on me). Xxxxxxx said it came with LOTS of booty..."

I call back until they beg me to not call any more and that they will remove me from the list.

And no, they won't help you. They take your upfront money and then forget you.
