    Weighting a 220

I'm going to start breaking in my 220 tomorrow as well as figuring out weight distribution for additional ballast.

If anyone has ridden behind a 220 with extra ballast I'd appreciate your feedback.

Can you tell me what you find out, I'm trying out the new 220 this weekend weighted up. I plan on trying out different configurations with the weight. I currently own a TE 210. I'm not going to upgrade unless the wake is better

I would assume it would need more weight in the back than the 210 to try to get the wake to be as steep. Just a guess based on people saying it is a little more mellow than the 210. probably just have to mess with it.

Get the Fly High integrated bow sack, and the wedge sacks for the rear. I would also add the tube sack to the ski locker. I think that is a perfect combination for that boat. The good thing with seating in this boat is it is very easy to have 4 people pretty far back in the boat enjoying the action. So that helps with weight distribution. The 220 is not as picky as the 210 with where weight is placed.

You can not get the 220 to be as steep as the 210. But, it is big and clean. It will have a nice lip to still pitch you, but it is not like hitting a wall of water like you do with the 210.

We are in the same "boat" as craigb. We are testing out a 220 soon and if the wake is not up to stratch we will just move into another 210. The size and room in the boat is great ,but to our crew its all about the wake.

I agree, if the wake isn't better, I'm going to upgrade my 210. I'll let you know my opinion on Monday

cmb: have you put the integrated bow sac in the 220? It looks like it's way too big to fit in the 220 bow.

I think that would be too much weight up front for that boat. Just mess with it and take pictures.
