I am winterizing the Ballast on my sport 200. The manual tells me to pour antifreeze into the ballast vents. I was successful into fill the front vent but the rear vents will not accept any antifreeze. Any ideas?

I never winterized the ballast system on my Malibu and never had any issues. My friend who lives in Alabama and works at an inboard shop servicing Nautiques and other inboards never winterizes the ballast in his personal SANTE 210 and has never had any problems. Has anyone ever had any problems from not winterizing the ballast?2007 Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV, 1995 Cobalt 200

Drain tanks as much as possible, then with boat out of the water Run pump(s) both ways to ensure no residual water left behind. That has been all I have ever done for the past 16+ winters in northern Illinois without issue.
