NSS on 2008-2011 Super Air 210

I did a search and really couldn't find any info on this. Found a ton in retrofitting the Original hull shape. The 2008-2011 hull is identical to the 12 and 13 in every way. Can u just buy the NSS Kit and go with a manual rocker/toggle switch instead of running them through the LINC system. To my understanding that is why they are only available on 12's and up. Will Nautique sell you the kit even if you don't own a 2012 or newer boat? Any ideas what the kit runs?

As I sit here pending my 3rd knee reconstruction , second on the same leg, I am thinking surfing is going to be my only Watersports option this summer till I get to 100%

My understanding (coming exclusively from what I've read on PN) is that nautiques/your local dealer won't sell the kit to you unless you have a 12 or up. Although apparently a hull # is enough because I've received PM offers from guys offering to pay me for mine.

This is correct. Without a 2012 or 2013 HIN, Nautique will not sell the kit to you. And if you use someone else's number, anyone who ever owns that boat will be unable to buy NSS. The dealers have also been instructed to make sure the purchaser actually owns the boat for which he/she is providing the HIN. At least that's what the dealer told me when I bought mine. I had just bought my 210 and I didn't show up in the system as the owner so I had to show them the bill of sale.

I'm just passing along what I was told by the dealer. Obviously, there may be exceptions under certain scenarios.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I understand why way back when, but nowadays there are several aftermarket solutions, so I would think Nautique would rather have my money. I know I would rather give it to Nautique

Seems like an odd way to position yourself in the market on Nautiques part.

I did the retrofit on my 09 230 SAN and to be honest if i were to do it again i would go with a Wake Shaper. Much cheaper, i spent upwards of about $ 3800 on my NSS setup when all said and done and you don't have to have 30 holes drilled in your transom. Anytime I engage the the NSS i always deploy them all the way out which is a maximum of 2 inches to make the biggest surf wake. a buddy of mine had a set of wake shapers that connected to his platform and that made the same wave if not better than the stock NSS plates. Not trying to discourage you just trying save some money.

Here is some info i posted in the past on my NSS install.
                  http://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/fo...cation-for-nss

Listing of aftermarket wake-plates (Commercial and non-commercial w/ links)

With all of the information coming out for aftermarket wake-plates, wedges, trim tab systems, etc, I figured it would be a good idea to start grabbing them and putting them into a central source. I'll do my best to update this daily until we have a good stock pile. If you'd like something added, please post in the comments and I'll make sure it migrates to the first post.

I'd like to keep the same format for each, though, so please help make it easy and I'll keep this updated.

                  Name: WaveControl Go Surf Assist
                  Website: http://www.gosurfassist.com
                  CC Compatibility: unknown
                  Type of system: Tabs
Price: 3999.99, including installation if you're local
Notes: Distributed by WakeMakers, they say they will stand behind it 100%, and they've got a great track record.

                  CC Compatibility: unknown
                  Type of system: Wedge
Price: 298.00 - 598.00 (Malibu's are the only model listed)
Notes: Clamps to the platform, floats incase it falls off. They've had people look at it and it puts ~400lbs of force on the side of the platform at 11mph.

                  Name: Wake Surf Shaper
                  Website: http://www.wakesurfshaper.com
CC Compatibility: Pictures on website are from 210, however design is truly universal
                  Type of system: Wedge
                  Price: 699.00, shipped
Notes: Velcro's to the side of the boat, one wedge should handle both sides (just flip it over and put velcro on both sides). Downside is that if the wedge is too aggressive, it will rip off the side of the boat.

                  Website: http://www.wakefx.com
CC Compatibility: Unknown (should be no problem)
                  Type of system: Wedge
                  Price: 895.00 (each)
Notes: Not interchangeable per side, must buy two if you want to be able to swap sides. These are more customizable for angle of attack than others, however this is what causes the lack of interchangeability.

                  Name: Wake-Shaper
                  Website: http://wake-shaper.com
                  CC Compatibility: Unknown
                  Type of system: Wedge
                  Price: 550
Notes: Easily changeable from side to side, appears to require a tow-eye hook (perhaps the lift ring would work for a CC?); Also, due to the 'sweep' of some older Air Nautiques, this may not work very well since it won't really push very hard on the water.

                  Name: Wicked Wave
                  Website: http://www.wickedwakesurf.com
                  CC Compatibilty: Unknown
                  Type of system: Wedge
                  Price: ??
Notes: Straight forward "wedge" style design.

If you own any of these, please post a mini-review and I'll link directly to it from this post. I'm sure more are out there, but this was my "i'm sick of searching for them" attempt at the ones I've been eyeballing lately.

I tried the Wakeshaper on the 07-up 210. Doesn't work because of the stepped hull, same goes for version 2.0. I was actually their first trial for both versions on the 210 Nautique. Just wouldn't work . I was able to watch that product transform beginning to end. Just will not fit. Version 2.0 also requires drilling into your platform.

Go surf assist hasn't outfitted a 210 just yet so they had no install tips for me. Also double what I paid for NSS

Mission boat gear doesn't work on anything except Malibu or Axis at the moment.

Wake effex I have no clue if it will work.

I would never add Velcro to side of my hull.

The rest don't make versions for Nautique yet.

All in all I have lots of experience with 210 . I know NSS makes a huge difference on the 07-13 hulls and even more on the 14-16. I am not sure how your NSS system ran in upwards of 3800 unless you had them install it because retail on kit in 2,120. Add in some sealant and the lenco switch and it's an extra 200 plus my time. Drilling holes doesn't bother me I have installed plenty of towers and pp modules. Fiberglass and gelcoat is easy to fix. Also IMO having NSS on the boat will boost its value if I ever want to sell. The ease alone of swapping sides for my wife to take her friends is worth it for me. I have 2 daughters. One rides goofy, one rides regular also part of reason to go automated. Couple that with the fact that the people I ride with are 50/50 regular/ goofy Automated is again the key. There are only two automated systems. The NSS and Go Surf. NSS was half the cost for me and I know it's proven.
