Looking for information on surfing a 2009-2011 216V

Hi I am looking for someone with experience surfing a 2009 216V? Do those boats surf well? How much and where did you place bags at? How was the wave? Any pics or videos would be greatly appreciated. Over all thoughts on this boat from anyone? Comfort, room, power, drivability?
    Thanks in advance.

We just sold our 2010 this summer and loved it. It is actually a really nice boat to drive. I think the layout is very well thought out and the walkthru is nice. Ours had the 343 which was plenty. To surf it, we filled the factory ballast and had extra wedge sacs in the lockers. We also put an 800lb bag on which ever side we were surfing and produced a pretty decent wave for a "crossover" boat.

We had an 09V as well. Great all around boat and is very comfortable and does everything. We weighted ours almost identical to what is described about but added 300 pounds in the bow to give it some length.

Thanks for the replies, I am looking to do an upgrade to a boat that surfs better than an OG 210. and saw one of these at the dealership and liked the layout and never been in one. So I figured I'd ask on here how the wave was. Any known problems or issues with these boats? How do you guys think the wave would compare to a newer 210 with out nss?

The newer 210 without NSS will probably make a better wave. That being said either boat loaded down will make a good wave. No known problems or issues, it's a Nautique and was made to replace the 211 as a crossover so the idea has been around for a while, just gave it a different identity.

I can send you some videos of the wave if you will PM me with an email address. We had and 09 216V the last two summesr. Loved the boat but wanted to move up to a G. It is a great all around boat and makes a very nice wave if weighted as described above. In addition to stock I had 1100 plumbed in the bag. Fit rear lockers great. Very important to add bow weight. Boat performs much better with a sack in the front. Not sure if you ski but it produces a very respectable ski wake. Really is a great crossover. The only issues I would point out is the Zero Off had a tendancy to porpoise or surge the gas in certain conditions. It was an acknowledged issue by Zero Off. There was a replacement antenna from Zero Off that fixes the issue. The SANO decking that came on the boat becomes brittle and harsh on the feet after some age and sun exposure. The common fix was to replace it with Seadek. Finally there was a high pitch whine at certain RPM. It had something to do with a spacer for the throttle body. Again it was an acknowledged issue by PCM. I had all three items address on my 216V under warranty.

By the way my 216V is for sale. If you want info on it PM me.
