How accurate is See dealer cost.com site?

The 2016 invoice is 4K cheaper than the 2015? What am I missing? Standard motor? How accurate does everyone think that site is?

I have always been curious about this site but in reality who cares how much your dealer purchases a boat for. Most dealers have 4-6 months to make the majority of their income as their business is seasonal. A dealer needs to make good margins to keep the doors opens, pay people, carry parts, have good people on the payroll, make interest payments on $100K boats before a purchase is made, healthcare etc.

I understand, it just seems strange the invoice went down... I think the retail did as well.... Anyway - just interesting...

Last time I looked seedeatercost basically multiples the published MSRP base price and each option by a flat percentage. IIRC it's around 70%. Given its just a formula I wouldn't trust it to be inside information and true dealer costs. I also wouldn't think it's accurate on a line by line basis. It may be directionally close on a total basis.

My dealer told me that my same boat in a 2016 would be 7-8k more.
