if you have 4 kids (and assuming a wife) then you may want to look at something bigger. 211 is great for 6 or less and fine for an occasional 7-10 but if you start with 6 and will regularly add friends I'd do a 226/220 at minimum but possibly go to a 230/236. You will appreciate the room.

Since I am on a budget I think I will have to stay a little flexible depending what becomes available. 07-08 210 is going to be on my list if I can find one in my price range. Are there any certain year 220, 226 and 230 I should be looking for? Did these model change in 07 like the 210?

Regarding 220. It never dramatically changed. I had a 2007. I recommend to go for a for a 2008 just because of the batteries relocation. Some tips to get a perfect boat:
1, Get the 6.0 l engine if you are planning to heavily load it,
2, Get either a zero off or an upgrade for the Start Gazer to have GPS cruise control.
3, If 4 kids get rid of the pylon and
4, Either get Seadeck everywhere or get a sheet of Sano pad and put around the transom to avoid the kids to slip.

'08 220 is going to be a "good deal" to find one in your price range. 2008 saw the introduction of the Zero Off speed control (GPS based) to replace perfect pass. It works very well with the stock ballast. A few combinations of ballast and prop will cause a 210 and the 230 to "porpoise" at wakeboarding speeds. I don't have direct experience on the 220. The knock on the 220 is side to side balance while wakeboarding, this is accurate, however, this is the case of running more than stock ballast. The surf wake on the 220 is excellent, and the interior space and storage is much more than the '07+ 210.
Just research here and you'll find a lot of info on these boats.

I am very excited to be a new nautique owner. I was able to pickup a 2008 SAN 210 with 500 hrs on it. Looking forward to polishing it up and riding behind it this spring!

If you picked up an 08 210 inside your budget, I'd say you did pretty well. Congrats.

Ended up paying $35500 so I was pretty much in my budget. The hull is blue and yellow, the yellow is faded a little so I need to try and figure out how to try and restore the gelcoat. I think it is going to be a little tricky working a around the decals. But I am very happy with the purchase.

                    Great price.

You can find everything you need for a polish job at Boat Candy's web site. They are the one stop shop. I believe they also offer members of this forum a discount if you ask.
