Sorry, no pics! We took the camera, but didn't get anything very good. hehe.

Anyway, for you east Texas guys, we went to Perky, which I was told by several people was suppose to be warm! ha! It was cold!!!!! All over!!!! Oh well, I still had fun!

I saw a barefoot nautique out there. All the other 20 boats were fishing boats that were all in the stumpy water. So that worked out pretty well.

It was also the first time I've used the new tower! Wow! That's going to take some getting used to! hehe.

surroundsound are you saying you live in texas and your first time out this year was this week? on march 30 my buddy pulled his boat out of storage and needed a pull. niagara river ontario, the air is 60 deg. , the water 38. after a trick run for him and a slalom for me we declared the winter officially over. in light of this i insist you guys in the southern states ski all year round in fact i demand it!!

Went out March 30 and April 1 in CT for 3 sets of slalom runs. Air temp 68, Water temp 36, Fun 110%. Winter is officially over! Break out those dry suits. There are no other boats on the water this time of year, SWEEET.
For the guys down south, What is the water temp? Still in the 40's?

Kicked off opening day to the 2006 season this weekend in kentucky. air temp was 75 degrees, water temp was 56 degrees. it feels good to be back...

Same here. We went out today planning to just ride around in the boat. The air was 72, and I was surprised to find that the water was 56. The past few days have been warm, and the water has gone up about 6-7 degrees in the past week. At the last minute I tossed my board in the boat. Glad I did.

Surroundsound 64 how did the NDT work out for you. We haven't been able to go out yet. The ice on the lake just melted a couple of days ago. The tower is also getting powdercoated so that won't be done for a couple of weeks.

The tower was great! It's super sturdy! One of the board racks tried to leave, but luckily I had a set of alan wrenches with me in the tool bag and I fixed that.

I made it out in CT on Friday (March 31) as well. Got one ski run in before having some ignition problems (no spark). There was still a small pile of snow on the lawn at the cottage. Glad to start the season!

No, but we were only a few hundred yards from the dock, and luckily I had a paddle. Threw a lift in the water and it stayed there overnight. When a new coil didnt do the trick on Sat, I towed it back to the launch with our aluminum boat with a 9.9 merc. I'm gonna check all my wiring again, but I suspect a bad ignition module- first owner had it converted to Pertronix EI.

Ah man, you CT people are killing me... I wasn't even in the US when you were on the lake! Well, I guess that's alright then. 8-) But the boat won't even be ready for the water for another 2 weeks... :evil: Chad, I think I'm going to have to take you up on your offer this weekend--drysuits ready.

Hey surroundSound, want to know why pirkey was so cold....The Power plant that usually keeps that lake in the 80s has been off for about 4weeks now because of this bad boy! This is a 10,000HP, 900RPM AC motor that runs off of 13,200Volt 3phase power!!!! It runs a fan, a big A@# Fan, that directs air flow in the power plant. We have it in our shop for repairs.
