    Pebble Watch Control for 2016

I purchased a 2015 210 last year and just saw that the new boats are coming with the ability to be controlled with an app on a pebble watch. Does anyone know if this a feature that can be installed on a pre 2016 boat? Is it purely software or is it hardware as well?

You would need to change software/firmware on the LINC and add the Bluetooth module...... But, that would also involve changing the screen to the TS version, so that you could actually control the software. On top of that, there is no easy way of knowing if the PDMs are wired the same to actually control everything off of the new LINC system.

I would say that the short answer is "no".... Unless you have a lot of free time, vast knowledge of electrical systems and multiplexing modules, and a big pile of money that you are hoping to turn into a little pile of money.

^^^^^ Wayward hit the nail on the head....by the time you finished retrofitting everything onto the '15 or previous model to make it work, you could've probably just bought a new '16 model and saved some money plus had a newer boat!

I have a 2016 210 and a pebble watch that works well with everything. However my LINC screen is NOT a touchscreen. I thought that was only for the G series.

          Didn't think of that.

it might make a small difference, but somehow I'm thinking the "Murphy HelmView" screen is probably still different. I am doubting that they had Bluetooth integrated into the 2015 unit for no reason.

He could always buy a screen for a '16 for a few thousand dollars, double and triple check wiring to the PDMs and other systems, and then plug it in and cross his fingers. Even then, I think he would have a hard time getting the pinout information for the 2016 screen from Nautique or Murphy, but I could be wrong.

BT and Software... its all about Software (the push of a button just triggers a function) and you would not have to change the screen. My linc2 has BT, but just for the radio.. so i don't know if its possible to use that to control NSS. But it would be nice if nautique could offer that, for some bucks of course ;-).

^ so, both your radio and the screen have blue tooth?? Two different ones? My 2014 G21 didn't. It only had BT for the stereo, and that was part of the stereo head unit. Not the LINC.

^ ok, but that BT is just part of your stereo head unit. It is not part of the Linc2. Your linc2 can control your stereo functions, but the Bluetooth in the stereo unit can not interface with anything in the LINC system.
