SEWLONG Custom Covers has officially joined us as a Site Sponsor for 2016!

Over the past couple of months, I have been working with SEWLONG on a custom cover for the PLANETNAUTIQUE G23 (including removable side skirts) and I also have one of their new bimini tops (with surf pockets) for the G23. I am very happy with the company, the employees I have dealt with, and the quality of their products! I know many of us have been looking for alternatives to the factory bimini or the factory cover. SEWLONG's covers can be ordered in tower-up or tower-down configurations (I have a tower-down), and you can add side skirts as well, which is not an option on the factory covers. That bimini design seems brilliant!! Holy cow!

Saw this cover last year and at first look I thought it looked pretty good. Gives us an alternative over the two that are the most popular. That being said, I'm not really a huge fan of the factory bimini....but I will keep it as opposed to getting this one. I don't want to have to roll up that cover and wrestle with a zipper anymore. The factory one is SO EASY to put down and up and cover it. PLUS....you can run the "narrow top" if you want to leave it in the sleeve for more sun or not so sunny days. I watched that video and to me...it took too long for the process. Yes......the surf pockets are really cool...maybe for a 210 or 230 where they don't have as much storage for the wake and surf boards. Also, the metal erector set look to the frame sides is just that...metal erector set looking....lol. Again...not bad...another choice...but I know somewhere there is still a cool bimini waiting to meet a G !!!

I wounder if you fold the tower with the Bimini rolled up if the frame sides get in the way of lowing the tower to its lowest height...

Robert, to answer your question, the tower doesn't fold as easily as we had hope in the design phase. The factory tower bimin is by far the best option for those needing to collapse their tower on a regular basis.

For the cover - any option to have a skirt that goes over the rear swim platform as well? My boat sits on the lift and I got a cover with a platform cover to protect from sun but it doesn't have an option for side skirts. Would love to have an option that covers the sides as well as the swim platform.

Ok, I took some time today to install this cover, and I couldn't be happier! It fits like a glove. The side skirts attach easily, and fit perfectly.

I ordered a tower-down version of the cover, and I used the factory support poles, which work well with this cover too. The SewLong cover also has attachment points for support poles that snap into place.

Take a look at our Double Up storage covers. by far the best way to protect your boat! Have been making a lot of these for people with their boat on a lift!

That cover is great. Are those extended side covers designed to travel with them on? If so that will be great for road trips and traveling with the boat!!

I don't think you would want to travel with the side skirts on. They are anchored to the trailer, but would still move around quite a bit at highway speeds.

Also, I want to clear up a possible point of confusion for some people.

In Nautique speak, FCT refers to Flight Control Tower.
In SewLong speak, FCT refers to Folding Canopy Top.

I am not sure if SewLong is aware of what we as Nautique owners think of when we see FCT. Just want to get that out there.
