    CC's reputation holds firm!

Unfortunately I tested the reputation of their strong hulls.

When I was launching on Saturday, I forgot to disconnect the chain that hooks to the front of the boat. I can't believe I forgot. I have NEVER forgotten something like that!

How I normally launch is get down until the tops of the fender wells are just above the water, then I start the boat, then I have the truck driver back down just a few inches more and then hit the brakes as I give the boat gas in reverse. It kind of helps lauch the boat a little easier.

Well... we do that and POP!!! As we all get jerked backwards and the truck skids down a few inches. I'm like "OOOOHHH NOOOOOOOO!" I immediately remebered what I forgot and just knew I ripped the hook off the front of the boat. I jumped over the windshield to look at the hook. No damage! I look all around, no cracks or anything. I could not believe it.
I couldn't ever figure out what popped though. It sure was loud.

Man, I will never forget that again!

Thank you CC for thick strong hulls! hehe.

Ha! I never figured it out. I think it was the chain doing something.

That happened to me once. I had a big "S" on my forehead. It was last November and the ambient temp was 42F (water temp was 39F). All the docks were out and I was in a big rush to get my last ride in for the year (and also make sure my wife/driver doesn't get one drop of cold water on her). I went to back the boat off......and nothing. Dah!
