    I'd agree with most re: engine, ours has the ZR390, and we both wake and surf. We boat exclusively on fresh water lakes, however, I like the idea of (and ease of winterizing) the closed cooling system. I will say that when we wakeboard heavily weighted, it's very nice to have the extra HP, that said, if you have your extra ballast loaded correctly, you can "get by" with the Excal engine, as long as it's propped right, and you don't have a 12 person crew on board. If your crew is regularly a large group, go for the bigger engine.

    Another option that hasn't been mentioned is the reversible bench seat, we have one and use it a ton (it's almost always setup in the cabin). If the boat doesn't have it, I think it's a pricey add-on (somewhere around $1,500.00).
