I saw someone who had a winshield mount mirror that allowed them to see ball to ball in this mirror. I can't seem to find the post nor could I find what I am looking for on google. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

RE: Ball to Ball mirror
Ben,
I haven't a clue as to where you'd find one of those mirrors, but if it might offer a clue, the first I ever saw of that multi-mirror, see-everthing-left-to-right technology was on lowrider cars in Los Angelis during the very early 1980s (those cars with four or more batteries and hand-held controls to hop/bounce/whatever the cars up and down off the pavement). A friend of mine at the time had one of these mirrors in his purely pedestrian Honda Civic and it rocked big time when I drove his and others' drunk arses home from seeing punk shows at the Olympic and other happening low life LA venues of the day. Anyway, there still must be a lowrider scene and maybe that is where people are getting those mirrors. I'm no gearhead, that's for sure, but pride myself in recent years for learning how to do the basic maintenance on my 210.

RE: Ball to Ball mirror
Here is where I bought my mirror

My cousin has one of those multi-lense mirrors on his Malibu. I really didn't like it. I think a second 7 x 14 mirror is a better option.1976 Ski Nautique.....old but it\'s still going strong

RE: Ball to Ball mirror
Hydrofoilmaniac,
I have never used a multi-lense mirror but it looks like a great idea. What don't you like about the multi-lense mirror that your cousin has? A second 7x14 might be a good solution as well. Thank you all for your input!

RE: Ball to Ball mirror
I had trouble seeing the skier as they cut across the wake. I think this was mostly from the mirror section joints and the overall adjustment of the outside mirror sections. I didn't spend a lot of time messing with it since I had a spotter in the boat. Maybe I was just used to my 7 x 14.1976 Ski Nautique.....old but it\'s still going strong

What about the Cipa Extreme? This is the one I'm thinking of getting.

Rawley Vision
Didn't see that the name had been posted, so I'll post it. The ski boat versions of these multi pane mirrors are called "Rawley Vision" mirrors. I bought one on ebay last year for about $25 after shipping. The difference between the Rawley Vision and what you might find in the JC Whitney catalog, for example, is the mounts designed to fit a square ski boat windshield.
It's pretty neat, although a bit of a pain in my open boat boat. We enjoy using it and the view is nice. Although you might be able to achieve the same thing with the CIPA extreme or a pair of CIPA comps FWIW. What we haven't figured out is if it can be used as a death ray (a la Archimedes) for those pesky jet skiers.
There was one on ski-it-again a few months back. The guy wanted $50 and it's no longer there, so I guess he got $50 for it. I feel lucky.1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.

Hollywood's right , J C Whitney has two types that might work. one is a 17" convex and another that has 4 panes. plus they're a lot cheaper.

Can anyone tell from the picture I posted where those mounts for the mirror could be found? To me, that appears to be the only difference between what you can get from any autoparts source and the Rawley Vision.1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.
