    Coastal Edition Nautiques

We board on Lake Anna, Va and have a 226. It has never seen, nor will ever see, salt water. But we also have a place in Delaware and want to be able to use the boat in the bays around Ocean City, MD. So thinking about at costal edition 230 or G.

Anyone have experience with coastal edition Nautiques? Assuming fresh water flush and washdown after each use, not stored on a lift over salt water, regular maintenance, how durable are these? Thinking that we would keep the boat at LKA and trailer over to DE when we want to use. Alum or galvanized trailer, of course!

IMO the coastal is only worth it for those who live or use mostly in salt. If it is just an occasional use with meticulous maintenance, I wouldn't see an issue. I have experience with older Nautiques and salt use. Only thing is that even a Galvanized trailer can rust.... Best in my opinion would be to have somewhere with a hoist (at a marina) that can put the boat in for you so the trailer doesn't get the salt bath....
