Should I tint the windows on this G21?

How do you think it would look? I'm thinking of doing the 30 percent tint that is standard on auto tinting. Do you think it would be an improvement aesthetically?

Is there anyone that can photoshop this with the tint? Thanks!

I think it would look good with a little tint.

I think it would look good....however, I tinted an older Moomba I had and now I will prob never do it again. It just made it hard to see out of when cruising across the lake in low light situations...and on cool evenings it's nice to be able to sit down behind the windshield.

I wouldn't do it either. The only way I would consider it is if I lived in Florida and skied only during the day.
          Ski on dude!

I did 20% on my old boat and really liked it. Not sure how dark I'll be doing it on the new one. Yes, it does make it a little harder at night, but how often are you on plane at night? In my case, never.

Most people aren't... but my crew and I usually like to stick around in the evenings to get that good water...and it's usually after sunset before we head out.

At night it will pick up every bit of light behind you and reflect on the tint. I would not do it......

Thank you for the answers everyone. It sounds like there are more downsides than advantages. I doubt I'll do it.

I have had it on 2 of my 3 previous boats (20% tint), I liked the look and rarely went at night so for me it was worth it being 99% of my boating time was in the day. My G23 goes in tommorrow to gets lenses shaded. I post some pics

I personally have never understood the appeal of tinting the windows of a boat. Its a matter of personal preference but it is rarely visually appealing to me and seems like a waste. I have seen a few I like but they are unique. With the sun in Texas everyone in the boat has on sunglasses so the tint plus sunglasses would be distracting to me.

Looking forward to pics. I have been toying with the idea of tinting my G23 before I take delivery. Not sure if it would be distracting at night or not, but then again I hardly look through the windshield anyway, I'm always on the bolster with my head above.

I love my windshields tinted. I like the look at 25% and it keeps my iPhone from overheating when i leave it on the dash! Driving at night can be a pain though. I sit up tall while at speed.

I know everyone uses there boat differently and has different opinion on everything.

I had the windshield tinted on my G last year. It was the first boat I had tinted. It was between 20% and 35%. I went with 35% just because I would rather it be too light than dark. I was also unsure how much of a difference it would make.

After having the 35% it is perfect for our use. Yes it is mostly cosmetic. And yes during the day everyone obviously already has on shades. But at 35% it is no different looking out the side windows of your car. It causes no issues during the day. We also do a lot of after work riding. So there is a lot of driving with the sun low on horizon. This is where it makes the biggest difference in my opinion. Having the extra 35% on top of my shades really eases the eye strain when driving those lines straight at the sun. Portions of our lake are river like so you have no choice but drive in that direction at times.

At night it is a little harder but not bad. If it gets to be too difficult to see then we slow down or look over the windshield.
