New 210 Owner Lift question

Just got a 2015 SAN 210. My Lift is on a slow moving dammed river in Texas and when trying to put the boat on the lift with the tower up, it's pretty tight to the ceiling -- giving a bit of clearance for light on the tower, it seems like the hull is pretty clean of the water but the prop is still in it.

Any advice on leaving the boat like this for a few days over the weekend? Longer? Or should I basically fold down the tower every time I use the boat? The cover that came with the boat seems to be designed for having the tower up.

I stored my old 210 like that with just the prop in the water for a season because my hoist couldn't get it all the way out. I didn't notice any issues at all afterwards.

What kind of lift? If you have a hydraulic lift you would not want the rams sitting with all the weight on them. If you have a cradle/hoist you will be fine...

I would not chance it with how fast rivers can ride around here with the flash flooding. You can buy a tower down cover for a decent price and have peace of mind.

In my response, I assumed you were on a floating, hydro-hoist type of lift. Like a trailer-on-pontoons type of lift.

Several boats got smashed this past year due to rising water. Is you dock floating or fixed?

Ours is a hoist lift with cradle on Cedar Creek, not sure what the OP has. I would assume hoist with cradle since that's about all we see around here unless you have a slip in a marina, but that's just a guess.

Ah, I didn't catch that he was on a dam'd river.. Tower down and up all the way just to be safe.
