Has anybody done a factory tour while their boat was being built?

Beg4wake it sounds like you know a certain gasman / pit crew member for Porsche. If it is who I think it is, he works with the MC dealership that is about four miles from my house. He's the only person I know of who fits your description above!

You know exactly who I'm talking about!! Lol! He's a GREAT guy! Really only cares about advancing the sport and not just what boat one buys! I have to admit...ALL of the crew at Charlotte Ski Boats are great people! If MC every comes out with a product that IMO will compete with the G23, then I would consider going back to an MC! In fact...I feel really bad because I am going to Wake N Flake next weekend and I'm joining them instead of the Race City crew whom I purchased my G through. I wish I could join both!

Jeff, Will you get to drive for the event since its your boat? Since its your boat, do you have to get special insurance for such an event?

The Wake the World organization has it's own type of insurance that covers the boats so long as the captain has a valid boaters safety course certificate. At least that is how their actual Wake the World events work which I participate in every year at SML

The event this year was awesome! NautiqueJeff, I looked for ya but I guess I must have missed ya! During the "Flake" portion of the evening, that certain "Porsche Gasman" actually came and got me and said he had somebody that wanted to talk to me and put me on the phone with Steve Carlton! It was awesome getting to talk to Steve and I think I am going to schedule a time to go and tour the facility even though it will be after my boat is built! Steve also wanted to make sure he had my permission for him to "have his way with my boat" as he put it! I'm very excited for it to be finished and can't say enough about this entire boat buying experience and the Nautique Family!

I bet if you pay MSRP for your boat, the dealer would be happy to fly you down for a tour

When my brother and his wife toured the factory, they had their new boat in the water and allowed them to ride along for the water test. CC really rolled out the red carpet for them.

Jeff, I think that "Planet Nautique Boat" needs to come give some pulls at "Wake the World-Lake Anna" in Aug!!!!!! Beautiful boat! I just switched from Supra to a 220 last fall.

Correct, Wake the World carries a $2 Million Liability Policy from "World Wakeboard Association" for each of its events.

I hope I have my boat with me if I ever see Shaun Murray. I'd let him put a 4 foot sig down the side. A few years back I called into Hyperlite for a contest and got to spend about 5 minutes talking on the phone with Murray. I probably sounded like an idiot the whole time because I couldn't believe I was on the phone with him!! He ended up sending me a signed poster which was pretty cool!
I'm jealous! Can't wait to see pictures when you get it!

I really do! And he actually works for the competition! He did use to work for Nautique and claims that he knows the G is an EXCELLENT boat....but for somebody to go out of their way like that...really says a lot about their devotion to the sport!
