    210 - Garage Storage

Has anybody tried to put a 210 in their garage with the tower folded down? I have a standard 2 car garage and would really prefer to store it there. Will it work?

    what year/tower?

How tall is the garage door opening??

I put my 211 on a "long" phoenix trailer in a 2 car garage. I had to remove the platform and it only fit by about 6 inches side to side and the trailer tongue jack had to be all the way down to get the tower legs to clear the garage door frame (7 foot garage). it had about a 6 inch "zone" it had to be in front to back as well for it to fit. the first time putting it in the garage took 4 hours.

I'm looking to buy an older model (pre 2006). The garage height is probably 6.5 ft or so.

I would def get an exact measurement of your height. Measure it in both corners and in the center. Tower clearance is literally a game of inches and in most cases 1/2 inches. Almost guarantee no tower will fold to make 6.5ft door. 7ft different story.

I agree w/ Swat, the door height is crucial. I just moved to a new house, but the builder went cheap and had short rails for the garage door. This resulted in the bottom of the garage door hanging below the opening of the garage. I found a contractor that installed a different radius tracks, longer rails, and a opener draw from a 8ft garage door, so that when the door opens, it is a good 6 inches above the opening of the garage, which is 84" exactly. I clear the new house but about 1 1/2 inches and the other house by about 3/4 of an inch, so it really can be very close.

A few other factors can be what trailer the boat is on (DHM, Boatmate, Ramlin, Eagle, Phoenix) because some of the manufactures have the boat sitting "between" the fenders, and some higher "above" the fenders, which causes the boat to obviously sit higher on the trailer. If it is a local boat, I would try to bring it to the house, or at least drop the tower and lower the swivel jack alllllll the way down and get measurements.

My 00 pro air fits in my garage at an angle on a rather large but between the fenders magnum tandem axle. No way you can get another car in there with it. My garage is a standard two car built in the 80s. Luckily it stays in a barn at the lakehouse 90 percent of the time.

If you can get it under the door, get some NICE dollies. Harbor Freight ones suck (trust me). This will make your life much easier trying to get it in at an angle. Unless you have a very long garage you will most likely need a swing away tongue, take off the platform, and put it at an angle. Mine is 22x22 and it is a tight fit. Depending on your setup you probably need at least 23-24' to not angle it.

i have an 08 210 with titan tower, with extreme trailer and it fits under 7ft door with slight inclined driveway... you really gotta either just try it or take measurements and break out that geometry that you never thought you would use again after 6th grade.

My '01 on a Ramlin trailer fit under our 7' door, which was actually a few inches shy of being an actual 7' opening. Similar to what others mentioned the garage door needed to be pulled up all the way and the boat cleared by a few inches... only a few inches. Trailer is a significant contributor, for sure. A Ramlin trailer probably will give you the lowest clearance height you can get.

On the other extreme, we now have a EZ Loader trailer that is TALL! Lots of variables so you'll probably have to take measurements.

I have an 05 SAN210 on a duel wheel Boatmate trailer and mind fits in my garage that has standard size doors. As the other mentioned I have to take of my platform, use the break away tongue, tower folded, and angle it just a little.

My 2015 on a Boatmate trailer tower down was over 8' (board racks are high point) and over 10' tower up. Problematic when building a pole barn. Either build one that looks like a fire station or drop tower every time with 9' door. I drop tower and looking to buy tower down cover.
