Anyone done a "piggyback bow sac" on older 210??

I need to add weight to the bow. I want it to be under the front seats & integrated in "like factory". I don't want to have to deal with throwing a pump over the side and so forth. Searched on here several different ways and was unable to find any good complete info so I thought I'd ask. WakeMakers says I cannot do the "piggyback" setup that they sell for the `06+ models because the older 210 pump setup won't work. So, wondering what some of you have done.
    Have an `04 SAN 210.
    Thanks.

Toss over a pump or re-design your pump system. If I remember right '06+ had reversible and could do it... But pre '06 its a lot harder. You can do it... But it won't be plug and play like your back tanks. If you're interested in drilling holes and adding pumps and switches I'm sure WakeMAKERS could help you with that too

nautiques = Thanks for the reply. Yeah, talked to Brian at WakeMakers. He knows his stuff. Gave me a list of everything I would need to do it. Was just wondering what others on here might have done or found out could be done to make it easier. Never know for sure until you ask.....

I'll send pictures later of what I on my 02'

Pretty much just fills up the center tank and overflows to the bow sack

i have been thinking of doing the same on my 04 210. I was led to believe you can disconnect the vent hose of center factory from the hull and plug to bow sac and run a vent line from bow sac back to the hull vent.
when your center tank is full it overflows out the vent which would then fill the bow sac, the empty pump is at the rear bottom of the factory tank. so in theory gravity should do a lot of the work for draining.
I could be wrong bc I haven't done it yet but seems to make sense.

The aerator pumps are your limiting factor here. They don't have the head room to fill a double (piggy back setup).

            You have two options
            1) replace the center tank pump with a reversible and then you can piggy back. Wil require some rerouting of hoses drilling and electrical work. It's lot of work to get to the end result and when all is said and done you'll stove have a hole coming out of the boat with no use for it.

            2) just go ahead a wire up the bow bag on its own dedicated switch. This is truly the best option. Much simpler that rerouting all the factory stuff. If you go with a reversible pump you only have to add two new holes the the boat. While it seems more expensive at first glance with the price of the pump, when you add the extra hose fittings and check valves you need to install for the aerator system your much closer in price.

I prefer #2. Gives you "zone" control over all three areas and keeps the factory system as close to factory as possible. It's also the simplest to get done.

MAK = Thanks man! I can't wait to see/hear about your install.

casmith = I was thinking and hoping for the same setup idea. But Brian at WakeMakers says it won't work. If I don't want to throw a pump over the side to fill/empty I pretty much have to do what swatguy says is my "option 2".

swatguy = Thanks for the reply. Was just hoping I could find a simpler less expensive way of doing it. Considering what I have already spent at the rear of this machine.

I think Wakemakers is wrong here. I have done what casmith suggests. It is not perfect but it definitely works. For empty, I screw an empty pump directly into the bow sac and run the wire and crimp into the empty wires for the belly tank. Empties about 90% of the water. Downsides are that it is all empty or all full with the pumps and you can't fine tune easily. I added valves to fill and empty lines to fine tune if needed. Upside is it is close to plug and play and no new holes, etc

Could you run a separate drain hose from the bag and Y into the drain hose for the tank so the empty pump would drain them both simultaneously? That seems like it would get the most water out of the bag since it wouldn't be draining from the bottom of the bag and not the top. Then just piggy back the fill line as described above. I doubt it would drain any quicker but might get the bag completely empty or close to it. When I get some extra coin I'm going to order the under seat bow bag and piece together the hoses and adapters I need from WakeMakers and set it up. I'm ok with a little water left in the bag. I'm more ok with getting all of the ballast hidden and not having to drag out a pump and big bag every time which I am dealing with now until I can save up some money.

After thinking about what swatguy said about having "zone control" & not getting much response of what others have done. I went ahead & ordered a "reversible pump kit" # 41008 with the "hidden under bow bag" # 11052. Would have rather spent the money somewhere else but in the end I think I will be happier with having each ballast bag/tank separate so that I can really dial it in with the GoSurfAssist system. Can't wait to get this thing on the water!!!!!!!!!

I ordered 200 lbs worth of lead shot in 50 lb canvas bags. Will take up very little room in my bow storage compartments (12"x9"x2" each) and with the battery up there it will equate to about 250lbs which I think is about all I'm going to get out of an underseat bow bag that I can't completely fill to its capacity anyway due to space restrictions. No pumps, no retro fitting and I get to keep my worthless bow cooler underneath the left bow seat cushion. Plus when not ballasted up I can use the 4 lead bags around the boat if need be to even the weight out when I have a lot of people in the boat.

having the bow bag on its own dedicated system is well worth the time and effort. It's not the cheapest option, but it's the most efficient way to get it done and never have to worry about anything. You can T into your existing vent line for the belly tank if you don't want to add another hole above the waterline for the bow bag vent. You just add check valve to the original vent line and a Y splitter.

I had a 1100 lb Fat Sac pro series (comma shaped) bag attached to the vent hose of the belly tank with an upgraded reversible pump setup in my 2004 SANTE. It worked great. Took up room under the front seats and we had to cut and remove the underseat cooler to make it fit.

I have my bow and center sac on the same reversible pump in my 01 SAN. I put a shutoff valve before each sac in easy to reach places so each bag can be isolated. Works perfect.
