How do you secure your boat in a slip?

In the past we'd always had our G23 in dry storage, partly because we thought it was better off out of the weather and partly because of the convenience of 'leaving everything in it and just locking the whole things up' in our storage space.

I'm considering a slip for our soon to arrive 2016 G23, but I'm a bit dismayed that there rear storage isnt locking like it used to be in the day (thats correct isnt it?). Whats the preferred way of securing the average load of 3+ surf boards and 3 wakeboards we have with us? Haul them all out and use a storage locker I'm guessing?

    Thanks,
    Mark

I added an alarm system (Flagship Marine Security), several options like motion or cover sensors, I also have the floor sensors.
When an intruder is detected an audible alarm goes off and the lights flash, believe now you can even add txt alert as well.

You could have the door(s) of the compartments(s) wired for an alarm. Pretty simple and cheap. You can even set it up with a key fob to set and release it.

I've got the same issue and was working on a lock system that uses solenoids and pins and trying to rig it similar to car door locks. In the design phase I realized that a couple of dock boxes are going to be easier and less costly. At least if they break in to them there will be no damage to the boat. I'm also putting up a trail camera.

Also, thought about this with each pin going to the back hatches and just hide the tee handle somewhere out of view. Lock it open at the start of the day and set it when done.
