New owner of 2007 super air 210 team! We had 1987 2001 for 17 years and loved the boat, but family grew and needed more room. I know nothing about v-drives or ballasts and wake plate. The new boat has about 300 hrs.,any heads-up about preventative maintenance or anything else you may think I should know would be gladly accepted.

Well....first things first....Congrats and welcome to the forum!! Second things second....Never, and I mean NEVER, make a post saying you got a new boat without pictures!! LOL.
Now, as for your post, a few things you will want to check out or be aware of:
1) Just like all boats, always inspect the raw water pump impeller.
2) It's just good habit to always check the oil before every outing and maybe do a quick visual check during the outing.
3) You may want to become familiar with the ballast system. Know where your pumps are and ensure they are working, aka, filling and emptying. Also figure out what type of pump you have. Many pumps have an impeller very similar to the raw water pump impeller and those can become damaged and need replacing.
4) A spare prop and weekend saver kit (prop pulling kit) are always a good thing to have on hand because a damaged prop will ruin a day on the lake.
5) From time to time, be sure to inspect the V-drive unit and make sure it has fluid (gotta be running when you check this.
You should be able to notice pretty quick if you spring an leaks whether it be motor or trans oil because you will see it's "hue" in the hull of the boat.
These are just a few things to get you started. A good site if you ever need ballast parts is Wakemakers.com. You have a great boat that handles weight well. You should be able to just go out and fill all the factory ballast and be good to go. When coming out of the hole you will want the wake plate all the way down to help you get on plane as quick as possible, then just ease it back up until the desired wake shape is achieved.
If you ever have any problems or questions, ALWAYS come to the forum first! I've found out that forums will save you TONS of money and most of the time, are more informative than your average boat mechanics!! Congrats again and enjoy your new toy!
