This was our first day out on our G. The water was cold, we needed 5/4 wet suits but the air was warm and the boat performed flawlessly. Last season we soldiered through with a '15 Moomba mondo and though I appreciate the power plant and basic build quality, the wake performance was never up to our expectations regardless of mods we made through the season. It has been 20+ years since my last Nautique and in the mean time I have lived with Malibu's, California Skier's and Moomba while always wishing I had chosen another Nautique. The wife, kids and I all had a discussion on the way home today addressing the features, performance and price differences. Though the Moomba comes in at a nice price point, you will never convince me that the clean price double is not worth it with Nautique. And what a wake to play on!!!!! I know this is preaching to the choir given the location of this post but at least you all understand most of what I am excited about.
One quick question someone may be able to answer for me. I found an additional small band cover with Nautique lettering and am unsure where or how it is supposed to fit. Looks like it could be a tower cover but with the factory bimini up and the board racks stowed rotated inboard I'm failing to see the way it fits.
