Tower Cover for G23

Hey everyone,

Has anyone found a good solution to cover the tower while it is up and being towed? Just trying to find a good way to keep the bugs off while trailering, which we do a lot of. I used to have a Malibu 23lsv and had a tower cover for it which worked great, but I haven't been able to find one for the G. Thanks everyone!

I would order a tower-down cover from SewLong if I were you. I have one from Nautique and one from SewLong. The SewLong one is better material though. I LOVE my tower-down covers for just the reason you mention!

I was thinking of that too. Any problems with Nautique recommending to trailer with the tower up, not down? Or does the cover hold the tower in place enough?

I have towed like this extensively with no issues. I know some of Nautique's reps tow like this too. Nautique also ships their boats with the towers down.

I saw that too, yet when I contacted them they said they didn't do just a tower cover. Weird. I'll ask again with the picture, Thanks!

Me too, think I did a bad job of communicating! Now the question is whether the cost of the cover is worth the time it takes to clean bugs. Hmmmmm.

jeff, your nautique cover that is tower down- does it fit with standard bimini on, folded over the windshield with standard poles? or do you have to remove the bimini for the cover to fit and tow?

I have to remove the bimini. The newer bimini frames no longer work with the poles. The frames hit the windshield if you disconnect the gas shocks and try to connect the pole. I know because I tried it this year! A member of this site sent me a pole to see if it would work (since the pole doesn't even come with the biminis anymore).

I think i can clean the bugs in the same time as it takes to remove bimini, gas shocks, and then travel with it without tearing a hole in the floor or seats. It is not an easy task by yourself.
