    G23 Questions

I have a couple questions for removing access panels in a 2013 G23. Under the helm there is a padded panel, how do you remove this? Second panel I need off is the access to behind the aux and 12v input under the throttle area in that little cubby hole. Anyone have any ideas? Do they just pop off with a pull?

    Thanks in advance!

Both panels should be held in-place with push pins/ Christmas trees. pull up on one corner to release then work your way around

As cmcmechan indicated, the panels are held up by christmas tree plastic push pins. Just pull it off. Usually the trees will be fine and usable again but it helps to have extra ones which are cheap and available at any auto parts store.

I've had to remove one of my bow seat backs for access twice in the last couple of weeks to add ballast to the bow. You just gotta manage to pry up a corner and get under it enough to pull it off. At first it seems like you're doing something you shouldn't be doing, but they do come off. You may end up with Christmas trees that look like a slightly different form than original, but they'll still work fine usually. With mine, the trees stayed put and pulled free from the seat back. I just got some pliers to pull them out of the deck holes and plugged them back into the seat back first before attempting to reinstall the seat back to the deck. When reinstalling, you want to put the short end of the trees into the seat or whatever first, and the longer end goes into the deck of the boat or whatever. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for all the feed back, seems easy enough. Its what I thought I just wanted to be sure before applying excessive force and breaking something.
