Does anyone know what the bottom lever is on a 2016 G Series drivers seat?

The top lever lets the seat go forward and backward. What does the bottom lever do and how does it move?

Yep, that's the swivel release. Pull it straight up to rotate the seat.

Mine won't articulate up, down, sideways, out, or in. i could be wrong but the seat doesn't look like it could rotate on the mount. I'll try again and my have the dealer show me next week. Nothing about it in the owners manual that I could find.

I have the rant here about the captains chair in my 2013. It is really not well designed. I hope they have changed this year with the newer style seat. The slide tracks are way to loose and the spring loaded lever that holds the seat in one position constantly fails. Does anyone know if the base of the newer captain's seat changed/improved with the new design?

Mine feels like its bolted to the deck. I have zero play and thats part of the reason I cant figure out what that bottom lever does.

Yep, that's the swivel release. Pull it straight up to rotate the seat.

Tried this. Bent the lever I pulled so hard. Nothing moved. I'll ask the dealer when I go fill up with gas next weekend.

Enzo....I've got a 2015 G21. When I went to pick the boat up and do the walkthrough, I pulled up and tried to swivel the seat and the spring popped and came off just like mentioned above. Tech put it back on and I have never swiveled the seat again....just move it back and forth. I'm pretty sure a 2016 seat does in fact swivel.

I believe any year before 2016 doesn't actually swivel. Others can confirm. I have a 2013 G that does not and my new 2016 does.

My 13-14-16 all swivel The 16 is tight but it does swivel

My 13, 14, 15 and 16 G boats all swiveled.

I wedged cardboard to keep the lever engaged so mine is always free to turn I sit sideways with legs up

Occasionally the swivel lever will bind. You need to put light upward pressure on it and try to twist the seat in each direction slightly.
