So after parking my G21 the other day I got distracted while unhooking my trailer and accidently left one of the safety slings attached. Of course when I pulled ahead the boat followed me so I stopped to check things out. Nothing on the boat was damaged but what suprised me is the safety sling had come off the trailer.
The way the slings are mounted are with a 1/2" Grade 8 bolt and washer. When I pulled on the sling the inside eyelet popped out and the sling pulled right over the washer. Since this definitely wouldn't hold up at highway speed if it wouldn't even hold up in my driveway I decided to fix it. Pretty self explanatory from the pictures but feel free to ask any questions. Overall I'm actually happy it happened because I fixed a potentially dangerous part of the trailer.
