Minimum Water Temp for the first time each year?

I know everyone is from different places. But if you would say where your from and what the minimum water temperature needs to be before you put your boat in for the first time each year? Also if you wear a wetsuit tell us what kind and thickness?

    Thanks ,

I run the combined temp of 100F before I put in. But water temp alone I don't think I've ever skied under 50F. In the old days I'd do a drysuit, and still have one but haven't worn it in about 10 yrs. My full length wetsuit is 2/2.

I'm in Ohio, south of CLE, this year we started the season on Easter Sunday, water was 52 air was 68. The next weekend it snowed on my boat and I had to run it back into storage due to overnight temps dipping into the low 20s

50 us my minimum with 3/2 wetsuit. This is based on my years surfing more than for using my boat as it my first year with the boat. Not sure what our local water temps are but I havn't been in the water yet.

We ski year round in Long Beach, CA and Parker Strip, CA/AZ.... Coldest our water gets is low 50's. Use to mess with wetsuits but switched to drysuits about 10 years ago. If it's high 80's and water is above 65 I will trunk it with a heater top. If it's not I will use a drysuit.

We pretty much go within a day or two of ice off. So our first ride of this season was 3/26/2016 @ 43 degree water and 44 degree air. I would say in our defense that we could not have done it had it not been brilliantly sunny. We all wear the oneill boost drysuits, but the hands were pretty chilly.

I have a goon O'neil 4/3 that pretty much keeps me entirely dry...seals tight. It is hard to get on and off but its worth it since it allows me to board comfortably in 40-65 deg water!

In Dallas, boat gets de-winterized in March after spring break and is ready.
Water temp under 60 no longer interested in getting in, 60 to 65 - full 3/2 wetsuit, 65 to 70 - shorty wetsuit. 70+ board shorts. (85+water temp - long sleeve sunblock shirt...found out the evaporation process help keep you cool and not having to smear on sunscreen helps keep the boat seats clean)
2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop
              2010 SANTE 230 343 (280hrs)
pre 2010 - various open bow boats and jet skis

We started in early March in central MS. Full 3/2 wetsuit and it was easily doable. However you certainly can't feel most of your toes when you get out. The water did have a little bite. We are comfortably trunking it now...well it's tolerable sans wetsuit now but a heater top was still preferred until weekend before last. We also ride until December as long as it's 70 degrees or more outside. Any colder than that in December and we are in a tree stand or duck blind.

As long as there is not ice I'll ski. I use an 4/3 wetsuit with neoprene foot covers. Keep the hands out of the water when your in the water and keep the head dry. It is cold for about 2 minutes. I get in and get up - no problem. Temperature will not stop me from skiing.

As long as the air temp is 55-60 and water temps are close to 50 we'll ride. Always in a dry suit though.

Water temp... as long as there is no ice! Air temp... 55F and sunny and it's pretty good. I wear a drysuit in these conditions then move to shorts and a thick heater top as the site where I usually ski heats up pretty quick here in Ottawa Canada.
